DUBLIN'S FORMER CARNEGIE LIBRARY
WAS BUILT IN 1904 ON THE FORMER SITE
OF THE DUBLIN CITY HALL, SCHOOL AND
MASONIC LODGE. THE TRIANGULAR LOT WAS
FORMERLY A LOW LYING AREA MAKING
IT PRACTICAL TO PLACE A SHALLOW PUBLIC WELL ON WHAT WAS THEN,
THE WESTERN END OF TOWN.
THE WELL STILL REMAINS, DECORATED BY A SMALL BUT HARDY GROUP OF FERNS.
