operations flourished in southern
Laurens County and especially
Treutlen County and South
Georgia. The commercial turpentine
operations ended in Georgia about a dozen
years ago.

There are so many pine trees in Treutlen County, and Laurens and others in the area! Most everyone who farmed used to collect and sell turpentine. I know we did.
